Roybott.com - Front Page - Design One

After just getting round to starting this website up, I spent way longer than I should have attempting to design and put together a simple static front page for this site that wasn’t just the blog. Above is the design I’ve decided on for now, although I’m pretty sure I will change it again and again in the coming weeks/months… but we shall see!

The begining of yet another blog…

After finally getting around to registering Roybott.com I had to decide exactly what to put here, I considered moving my previous blog (from Roy.Herrod.co.uk ) but decided to start a fresh and try doing things a little differently.

So the plan for this site is to have a blog but keep things in 3 distinct categories, which are accessible as pages along the top:

  • Personal – Will contain general posts about me, my life, this site, etc

  • Development – Will contain posts about programming, personal projects and other development related stuff

  • General Web – Will contain posts about sites and things on the web that I find interesting

    • I plan to try to stick to this but I’m pretty sure something will come along which I can’t decide how to classify and so may create a new section later on.
